Learn. Prevent. Perform.

Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (REDs) is a syndrome that can affect athletes regardless of gender, sport type, and level of achievement. REDs occurs when there is a mismatch in an athlete’s energy intake and energy use, which is called low energy availability. Prolonged and/or severe low energy availability can cause REDs, resulting in a variety of adverse health and performance outcomes for athletes. Learn more.
